ORGANIZATION
Forum of History and Philosophy of Religions operates within the Faculty of Theology, "Ovidius" University of Constanța.
Forum of History and Philosophy of Religions is addressed to students, master students, doctoral students, doctors and researchers with interests in the field of History and Philosophy of Religions.
Forum of History and Philosophy of Religions is an extracurricular activity which aims to provide a platform of meetings that will have as object discussions, presentations, debates on topics falling within the scope of History and Philosophy of Religions (e.g. global religious phenomenon with all identitary components; identification common elements of religions in the perspective of interreligious and intercultural dialogue; reinterpretation of the religion today regarding the secularization trends in society etc.).
Who can become member of Forum of History and Philosophy of Religions? Students, MA students, Phd. students and researchers from the Faculty of Theology of Constanta or other higher education institutions that show a special interest for the History and Philosophy of Religions, recognizing and respecting the status of organization and functioning.
SCOPE
Forum of History and Philosophy of Religionsaims to:

promote the study of the History and Philosophy of Religions and research in this academic field;

involve students, MA and PhD students in extracurricular scientific activities.
OBJECTIVES
In order to achieve its goals, Forum of History and Philosophy of Religions aims the following objectives:

awareness of the importance of the History and Philosophy of Religions for the formation of the future theologian or researcher in the field of Theology or in other humanistic fields;
-
promoting and supporting the research in the field of History and Philosophy of Religions;
-
creating a formal space for analysis, discussions and debates on topics of History and Philosophy of Religions or on adjacent topics;
-
recovery and valorization of the works of some theologians with preoccupations in the field of History and Philosophy of Religions;
-
dissemination of the latest research in the field of History and Philosophy of Religions among students, MA and PhD students of the Faculty of Theology from Constanța;
-
dissemination the results of the members and of the conferences, seminar,s workshops organized by Forum of History and Philosophy of Religions.
ACTIVITIES
In order to achieve these objectives, the Forum of History and Philosophy of Religions proposes the following activities:

Organizing regular meetings (monthly). These meetings will take place at the Faculty of Theology from Constanța, with the prior announcement regarding the date and time interval and without disturbing the other activities in the faculty. The regular meetings will consist in presentation of scientific communications related to topics from the field of History and Philosophy of Religions. The access of the participants will be free and unconditional by the quality of permanent member of the Forum of History and Philosophy of Religions.

Organizing conferences, seminars, workshops etc.

Inviting professors and scholars from the field of History and Philosophy of Religions or from other related fields to give lectures or scientific communications.

Re-publishing old books/studies in the field of History and Philosophy of Religions, that belonging mainly to Romanian authors from the theological space.

Organizing trips to different archaeological sites (e.g. Cucuteni, Sarmisegetuza etc.) relevant to the study and understanding of the religious dimension of prehistoric and ancient cultures.

Editing an annual publication (book or journal).
